Hello pet owners! My is Jane Kwong and I am the proud owner of Poochies Paradise; a unique pet grooming salon located in Markham’s work-live community, Cornell.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve always had a strong love for animals. Although I was only allowed to have a hamster, I spent numerous hours playing with animals at the pet shop and vowed to become a pet owner when I became older. Staying true to my word, I cannot recall a moment of my adult life when my house has not been occupied by at least one pet.
After graduating from the University of Toronto, with a degree in employment relations and economics, I worked at a medical clinic for a year before realizing this was not the job for me. As I reflected on possible business endeavors, my passion and love for animals persuaded me to pursue a career in pet grooming. In June 2005, I graduated from Pampered Paws Grooming School and was awarded a certificate as a “professional pet stylist”. For the next two years, I enhanced my pet grooming skills working at vet clinics, doggie daycares and pet salons throughout the GTA.
In 2006, I decided to open my own pet grooming business in Markham, Ontario; Poochies Paradise. located in the popular work-live community in Cornell, I have serviced the needs of numerous pet owners in this area as well as other parts of Markham and the GTA.
My love for animals extends well into my extracurricular activities. I have recently been appointed as a member of the Animal Care Committee by the Town of Markham. Currently, I hold a position in the Homeless and Adoption subcommittee, where my main mission is to help find a loving and responsible home for homeless animals by organizing pet fairs and other public events. I also attend all the major kennel club dog shows to observe how breeders groom their specific breeds with the aim of perfecting my pet grooming skills. Lastly, I am the proud owner of two Pekingese dogs and one exotic short hair cat. In my spare time, I like to take them for walks, pamper them with love and of course provide them with the superior grooming services they deserve.

Poochies Paradise offers a “low-volume”, stress-free environment for the comfort of your pet. With the use of our state-of-the art equipment and no cage-drying and crating policy, Poochies Paradise aims to make your pet’s salon experience as enjoyable as possible. Our appointment by appointment booking system ensures that pets are privately checked and serviced in a timely manner. Opposed to being in cages or kennels, pets are welcome to make themselves at home by sniffing around and checking out our facilities prior to their treatments. Poochies Paradise provides a trusting and safe environment for your pet and aims to send your home calm, happy and well groomed.
