The Anglican parish of St. Stephen’s and St. John’s was established in the mid to late 1830’s by Bishop John Strachan of Toronto, founder of the University of Trinity College, Toronto.
Our mission is to provide for the spiritual care and nurture of persons in the modern world. We are rooted in the ancient tradition of the Anglican Church which has, for nearly two-thousand years, provided a “middle ground” between Protestant and Roman Catholic forms of expression.
We believe that God is re-creating the world through transformed persons. Personal and societal transformation is highly valued and celebrated in our parish. Therefore, we provide an intimate but vital faith community which understands its identity primarily in terms of pilgrimage, growth and renewal.
Our community gathers for prayer, worship and community life in many ways. Through various social, educational, and worship groups we foster holistic lifestyles.

Saturday, 4:30pm at St. Stephen’s church centre:
Eucharist (Mass) with interactive sermon time. This worship time is simple and reverent. Instead of a formal sermon, the congregation is invited to ask questions and reflect with the priest on the theme or text of scripture.
Sunday, 9am: at St. John’s church centre:
Eucharist (Mass). A simple but reverent Eucharist in classical Anglican form
Sunday 11am at St. Stephen’s church centre:
With choir and children’s programme. This is our principal worship time.
St. Stephen’s church centre is located on Steeles Ave, between Trafalgar Rd and Winston Churchill Blvd at Ninth line in South Georgetown.
St. John’s church centre is located on Trafalgar Rd at 15 Side Rd in West Georgetown.
