One of the most difficult decisions anyone has to make in their life is having to choose a lawyer. With the exception of buying or selling a home, this can be a very stressful and confusing process since the average person has not had any other contact with lawyers.

Gary Plastino has been a member in good standing of the Law Society of upper Canada since 1988 and has been practicing law in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton for almost 20 years. Prior to joining a smaller law firm almost 10 years ago he was a partner in a well-established law firm in Brampton handling very diverse areas of law such as family law, contracts, personal injury and other civil litigation matters.

Mr. Plastino is well-known and respected in the legal community by both judges and other lawyers and has a reputation of being fair and reasonable but also able to handle matters in Court as and when required. This broad experience and reputation serves clients well and provides a broad background of knowledge and information to help you resolve your problems.

As well as being a strong litigator, Mr. Plastino has also been trained in the areas of mediation and collaborative law and therefore brings with him not only substantial courtroom experience but as well the necessary skills to try and negotiate a settlement if at all possible so as to avoid the emotional and economic strains of having to go to court.

Mr. Plastino is one of three lawyers in the firm of Bateman Plastino Walter who has moved from a larger law firm to a smaller more personal law firm which allows him and his colleagues to deal with clients on a more personal level and one - on - one basis.

As well as being a lawyer, Mr. Plastino brings with him substantial experiences drawn from previous professions outside of the legal arena which allows him a broader perspective on files.
